Our Story

Every brand has a story — and ours started in a tiny rented room in Chennai.

At just 22 years old, Mr. Mijar Aditya Shenoy, a passionate home cook and avid traveler, moved to Chennai for work. Living with colleagues who couldn’t cook to save their lives, he naturally took over the kitchen. What began as a way to feed friends quickly turned into a journey of flavor discovery.

While exploring the rich culinary landscape of Tamil Nadu during his work travels, Aditya was inspired by the depth and diversity of South Indian spices. This is where he first crafted his signature Meat Masala — a versatile blend perfect for both dry and gravy-style meat dishes.

It wasn’t just any spice mix. It was the kind of masala that sparked conversations and left people asking for seconds — and for the recipe, which Aditya never revealed. 😉

Over the years, more and more friends, family, and even colleagues asked for his spice blends. What was once a personal hobby began to look like a greater calling — and so, Masala and Spice (MAS) was born.

Today, MAS is proud to offer authentic, homemade spice blends and ready-to-cook mixes that bring the soul of Indian kitchens straight to yours. Our products are handcrafted, rooted in tradition, and made with the same love that Aditya once poured into that humble Chennai kitchen.
